Impressions of Downtown

Kennewick Art Walk
It wasn't quite love at first sight, but over the past five years since Essence took-up studio in Historic Downtown Kennewick--Eric fell in love with the Downtown.
So it was only appropriate when deciding what would be most deserving of the spotlight of his five year anniversary gallery show, Eric finally rested upon the Downtown. The Downtown has been both backdrop and inspiration for a good portion of his portrait work, contributing to his honest, yet timeless photographic style. Since the Downtown has served as Eric's shooting park for the past five years, it's no surprise he has managed to capture the best of the Downtown's color, light & leading lines in his gallery pieces.
However, what makes the gallery pieces most memorable is their obvious inspiration from the Impressionistic period. Eric uses an unexpected shift in perception to not only give us a glimpse into his personal romance with the Downtown, but perhaps even guide our memory to see echos of our own Downtown experience.
